The writing station holds various materials to encourage the girls to write. Books with blank pages, envelopes, blank paper, an letter/sound chart, a clipboard, and cards with family names are always available. Other materials change to reflect the current season or area of study. Here is a glimpse of what is currently in our writing station.
A letter/sound chart that I downloaded from Hubbard's Cupboard.
Family names written on cards.
A booklet of Easter words and pictures that I downloaded from Kidssoup. I would like to create another word booklet that reflects the spiritual meaning of Easter with words such as Jesus, tomb, resurrected, etc.
Love it, even though it will be after Easter when the writing center post is scheduled, I am going to snag this one to feature!
ReplyDeleteLove your site! You have lots of great ideas!
ReplyDeleteI just love this! I hope you'll post other writing centers and ideas ~ I am going to work on something for my daughter.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I could totally do this!
ReplyDeleteSo fun!!! Meara loves to write and draw. She has so many notebooks with words and pictures that she has wrote and drawn. This is a perfect idea...I can't wait to put this together for her! Thanks for sharing. Are you going to homeschool your oldest in kindergarten?
ReplyDeleteHeather,
ReplyDeleteWe have enrolled Julia to start kindergarten in our neighborhood school this fall. I have considered homeschooling but I am really impressed with the school. Later I may decide that public school is not the right place for my kids but for now we'll give it a try.
